Eli hails from Eatonville, Washington. After high school, Eli served for a year with Washington Conservation Corps. While serving with WCC on a disaster deployment to the Gatlinburg, TN wildfires in 2017, he was introduced to AmeriCorps St. Louis and applied to be a Member the following term. With ACSTL, Eli has served as an AmeriCorps Member, Team Leader, Fellow, and now serves as our Conservation Field Supervisor. While Eli has extensive field conservation experience, including obtaining the US Forest Service Certified B Sawyer credential, he has also deployed on several disaster responses, including Hurricanes Maria, Michael, and Sally. Eli has been instrumental in training not only our own AmeriCorps Members in chainsaw and other power equipment usage, but has given lessens to other programs including AmeriCorps NCCC, All Hands & Hearts, and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources on how to use these tools as well.
