Homeless Services

Services for the Unhoused Community

At our location in Soulard, we operate an emergency Winter Warming Shelter (known as "My Mother's House") and offer weekly services for the unhoused community in St. Louis such as showers, meals, laundry, mail service, and more. Thanks to partnerships with the City of St. Louis, St. Louis Winter Outreach, other social services providers and nonprofits, and volunteers, we are able to best use our resources to support the unhoused.

  • Winter Warming Shelter

In partnership with St. Louis Winter Outreach, AmeriCorps St. Louis provides emergency shelter to the unhoused community when temperatures drop below 20 degrees. At these frigid temperatures, without a warm place to sleep, the St. Louis City unhoused population face life-threatening conditions. Each winter, AmeriCorps St. Louis is ready to open the doors of our Winter Warming shelter to those in need.

  • Weekly Outreach Services

Every Tuesday, we offer day-time outreach services to people in the community who do not have a permanent residence. During this time our guests can get a shower and hot meal, clean clothes, basic medical services, access to case managers and other social services, and more. These services are provided year round.
