Meet our Matching Partner - Bill Siedhoff

We're excited to introduce you to our matching partner for the Ready to Serve Campaign, Bill Siedhoff. He has had an amazing and distinguished career demonstrating a lifelong commitment to serving children, families, and individuals in need of assistance.

Over the course of 40 years, he held a unique blend of leadership roles in the public and not-for-profit sectors at the national, state and local levels. Most recently he was the Director of Human Services for the City of St. Louis, appointed by Mayor Francis G. Slay in 2001. He remained in that position until he retired in 2014. Upon his retirement, he was presented the Key to the City of St. Louis by Mayor Slay who proclaimed "Bill Siedhoff Day" on November 20, 2014.

Bill has a substantial history with AmeriCorps St. Louis, having served multiple years on the Board of Directors and provided guidance in the creation of AmeriCorps St. Louis’ Emergency Winter Shelter to serve the unhoused community. Even in his retirement years his efforts for the community have not diminished. He currently holds leadership positions on the boards of the St. Louis City Senior Fund and the St. Louis Office for Developmental Disability Resources. Additionally, he serves as chair of the advisory board for Saint Louis Crisis Nursery and sits on the cabinet for the United Way of Greater St. Louis 2023 Community Campaign.

“I formerly served on the Board of AmeriCorps St. Louis for several years and became well acquainted with the amazing contribution their National Service Volunteers make throughout the country and, in particular, in the metropolitan area. In partnership with St. Louis Winter Outreach, AmeriCorps St. Louis also provides essential services for the unhoused and provides a winter warming shelter to those in need.

While there is funding for many of these services, fundraising provides an essential source of revenue to support the important services offered by AmeriCorps St. Louis. In that regard, they are currently embarked on their 2023 Ready to Serve Annual Giving Campaign. To assist in that effort, they have a special opportunity to double your contribution that I am supporting through the William F. Siedhoff Foundation by matching all gifts made or pledged by December 31, 2023 up to $15,000!  As you consider end of year contributions, I would ask that you please consider including AmeriCorps St. Louis in your giving plans as I have done.”

We hope you will join Bill's generous spirit and consider a gift to AmeriCorps St. Louis. Double your gift by giving by 12/31 HERE!
